Hi Karen, I just bought your book and enjoyed your humor very much. I was out of work and the lady at the job placement agency said things were real slow and the last place she sent me they decided not to hire anyone new. I was bummed so started feng shuing my career and prosperity areas of my house and before I could get half done I got offered 2 jobs. The lady at the agency said the girl was not working out that was at this particular job and she sent me for an interview. The lady there wanted a mature person (lucky for little old me) and she also liked my humor (she is the first) well this little old 63 year old has a new job and part of her house clean, since clutter was bad for my chi....Thanks. Hi Karen - I recently wrote to you under to tell you how much I enjoyed your book, and that by simply removing a candle and replacing it with a fishbowl, a long awaited for check arrived within 48 hours. Well, it just keeps getting better! I recently started seeing someone new (yes, the love and relationship corner is working JUST fine, LOL). I remarked after sizing up the layout of his apartment how I imagined his career had been (pardon the vernacular) "going down the crapper since he'd moved" - you guessed it, the bathroom was right smack in the middle of "career". His reply was, "How did you know THAT?" He was quite amused with me when I did some quick cures with some red tape, a crystal, and simply moved two white ceramic elephants into the prosperity corner (the symbolism worked for us). Well, out of the blue, he was offered a much more lucrative position with better hours and location (he's the captain of a tug, going up the NE coast and Hudson River, he's at sea usually 14 days straight). The new position keeps him in NYC harbor, he comes home every night, AND he got a HUGE raise!!! In LESS than 7 days of the minor changes! HE IS THRILLED!!!! Dear Karen - Just wanted to send you another success story: my sweet Mother-in-law sent me your book for Christmas. It was so inspiring that I started rearranging right away. First I worked on the prosperity corner, then the fame/reputation corner. Right afterward my husband came home to tell me that he would be expecting an extra $200.00 on his next paycheck (which we really needed), then he received an excellent review of his play, which is being performed in Florida! I also got a great new job and a small raise in pay. One thing that we discovered with your book, is how, without knowing anything about Feng Shui, we had already arranged our home almost perfectly. We had, without knowing it was right, tacked a hot pink sarong to the ceiling over our bed (which happens to be in the relationship/love corner), I had placed my collection of wooden Buddhas and Buddha hands along with silver picture frames on the mantle in the Helpful People/Travel corner, Blue glass in the Skills/Knowlege Corner, an earthen "circle of friends" in the Health bagua, and a red and gold brocade blanket in the Prosperity corner (which helped out a lot BEFORE I received your book). I really appreciate the affirmation that my husband and I have a sense for this, AND of course, the new information on how to make our lives even better! Dear Karen, Thank you very much for your response to my questions in regards to a carport and bow window and replicating the Bau on floor levels. Yes, this info was very helpful. I have read many books on Feng Shui and have put many into place to no avail. However, your recommendations have brought me instant results. Thank you so very much for the practical way in which you have written the book. I have bought your book as presents for others. Again thanks. If I can indulge one more question, please respond. If the Bau is replicated on each floor in relation to the main entry door, how is the Bau placed for individual rooms? Thank you for an answer. Elva A

Hi Karen!!! I just wanted to thank you for your book and the products you sell. I have seen many feng shui books but yours really works--I guess I was supposed to get it when I did (you know how that goes). I have been making changes daily to each area and my life is changing amazingly. In some instances, it only took about a day or two for the effects to integrate into my life. I especially enjoy my fame area now--no more Rodney Dangerfield for me ("I can't get no respect"). The colors seem to really make a difference. In my relationships corner are my cabinets--storage for food containers, canisters, dishware, etc. which have been sitting there empty. Talk about symbolism! I still need the space for storage. Do you have any suggestions? Now I'm going to sit back and take a deep breath and enjoy my success. Thanks again. You're great. Laura J.

Hi! Karen, A quickie to let you in on some amazing changes. 1. I am still of course clearing clutter and will be for some time. The point is I am doing it (so I have somehow been energized!) 2. I put my son's picture up in the family, health gua (got it out of the closet remember?) Put the water fountain with its perpetual light in the same area. 3. Got some grounding with yellow & red under the center matt in the living room (Center) 4.Started using my silver box for Helpful People & asking for healing of family situation 5. Light a Candle in Helpful People and image and ask for same 6. Light a candle in Skills & Knowledge & ask for same. Received a school photo of my 12 year old grandson (one of the ones I couldn't have contact with in Escondido) no note just a picture. I was still feeling angry and heartsick and two days later developed a lump in my right armpit. It was hard the size of a frozen pea. It scared me needless to say but curiously enough would you believe I knew it was coming? I had a sense of check your right armpit. Sure enough it came. I know the heart meridian begins in the armpit and goes down the arm to the little finger. I know I was achy,breaky heart stuff solidified like a wake up call from the Universe to get moving and clear this bad family situation. I also knew within myself that if I could approach my son from a place of love and compassion I could do good. It took a scare from "the lump" to make me realize no one is guaranteed a tomorrow. We had wasted too much time and now he and I were beginning to feel dis-ease over it. So I called under the pretense of some mundane thing and was able to speak of our situation assure him of my love and tell him how it was affecting me and I knew him too. He was everything and more that the Gods could have wished for. Loving, forgiving, sorry, grateful, willing. In short, it was completely resolved on the 2nd of July! I spent yesterday with the boys at my house in the pool and had dinner with them at their home last night. How's that for getting the energy moving? The red under my chair at my desk has me moving there also. I have an overwhelming lot to do as you know and I am doing it. My friend comes on the 17th and I am working to get as much done before then as I can. When I do get cleared out I know a whole new life awaits me. I am hoping to see you on July 29 if I can clear conflicting events. Thanks you for being willing to come down. Even though I knew what to be doing I needed your import and support. One last miracle. I am able to sleep through the night in my master bedroom without a sleeping pill or earplugs and the noise is not a problem. Hi!!! Thank you soooo much for stopping by yesterday!!! It was amazing sleeping in a room full of color! It's weird... I have to admit, I feel like I'm being physically and spiritually plugged in to an outlet, like what the cell phone must feel like when it's getting charged. Actually, this reminds me of how I felt when I get reiki. (Oh, I'll reiki you sometime if you want!) I have to tell you, the response from the family was of the charts!!! My daughter absolutely loved all the changes and she couldn't stop gushing about how fantastic the room looks and what a good job I did. (pretty great coming from a 6 year old!) My husband also really liked everything although it's a little harder for him to process the deeper significance of it all. Oh, my daughter made a red heart in pastels -- really gorgeous! I'd buy it if I saw it in a gallery... We promptly framed it in a wood frame which we painted gold and hung it over the bathtub. I love it!!! I'm framing some of her yellow and orange stuff for the health gua... Although I'm really inspired and would love to feng shui all day, I better get back to work... Let's see how I do today. It's hard to focus on my work when I know how powerful all this stuff is and how much I can affect my family I've really got to get busy on the health area.. I know I was a nut case yesterday -- it just occurred to me: colors are like drugs. Purple and reds are like uppers and I was speeding!!!! Just so you know, I've never done drugs. Hello Karen, I just wanted to write you about our experience with Feng Shui after one day of using your book. First of all let me explain "me". I am a vegan, who has fasted for up to five days for health and spiritual reasons for 14 years. I have and feel a real connection to the universe and all that is around me. I have become very intuitive during these years so when I began reading your book, (the first I have ever come across on this subject that I can make SENSE out of-in the past never doing anything with it since I didn't understand a word of it in any book I would pick up on Feng Shui), I was not surprised that most of my home was NATURALLY arranged in most of what it should have been. That made me initially understand why I have gotten so far in my career and personal life with love and family. I did however find the health area of our house hurting (which made sense why my husband's diabetes was becoming worse, though he eats well and is a vegetarian. He is also SUCH a packrat!!!!). I immediately began to work on this area on a Friday and also made so new additions to the wealth area which had already been naturally furnished with most colors and items. Well, low and behold, the very next day I received a certified letter that I had won the grand prize in a contest and now have a free two-night stay at any Marriott hotel and $500 in traveler's checks. And within that week, my husband has begun to start cleaning up his stashes of "stuff" and throwing tons of things away (just for the heck of it he says) I can only pray his health also begins to improve. And during this first week I must tell you I could hardly sleep. It was like so much new energy was circulating around me and I didn't need to sleep as much and was getting a lot of things done I was putting off. I would go all day on 3-4 hours sleep as happy as could be and not being the least bit tired. So, yes, I agree, this feng shui stuff really works and I can only see more wonderful things happening for us. Thank you for a very simply explained and entertaining book. You are a very funny gal. My 12-year-old son, who has a problem of wetting the bed, put a note in a tin foil envelope that he made and put it in the Helpful People corner of his room. He has been dry at night ever since and attributes it to the Feng Shui. He is as enthusiastic about Feng Shui as I am, and has ideas for other areas of the house. We are having a blast, and he loves his dry bed!!!

Helpful People and Travel
Currently, I am traveling a LOT for work, leaving a dog in the kennel and two cats alone. I spaced the pictures out on my travel and helpful people wall, inserting two empty/blank picture frames among them (to represent needing space) into which I taped, to the wall, snapshots of my pets. I THOUGHT this would only affect being home more BUT the outcome has been even better. A responsible neighbor boy agreed to look in on the dog everyday (so the dog no longer had to be kenneled) and within two weeks, I learned of two college students who were going to do summer internships in my city and needed housing for the summer. They are now living at my house, taking care of pets and other things, leaving me free (and guilt free!) to travel for work. Here, I thought I was changing the energy in my TRAVEL area and the feng shui result was changing the energy in my Helpful People area. Then there is the story of my substantial salary increase (gold foil covered chocolate coins).... but that is another story...Fun stuff. You book is delightful - informative, lighthearted - full of humor and easy to read with great, practical suggestions.

I just rented a new room in a big house yesterday, and have been reading your book for only a few days- so far I have only really read about half of it (the prosperity, fame, love, creativity, and helpful people/travel sections). Today I was organizing using my notes from your book, and I decided to store my suitcases in the "travel" corner of my closet, thinking, as I did, that this should bring me travel... Well, it sure worked! I won a trip to London on the radio tonight!!!!!!! Thanks and I'll keep on organizing my room and my life the feng shui way!!!!

I wanted to share a story I received today from a friend up north. I had sent her and her husband a copy of your book sort of wondering if they would really read it since they are very religious and don't really know anything about feng shui yet. She wrote me today with an astounding story about their inadvertent feng shui. It began about a year ago when Anne and her husband Dave decided they would like to find out if either of them had any relatives left in Sweden where both their families had immigrated from many generations ago. They began to do some digging and discovered they did. After contacting a couple of their relatives they decided that they would really like to go to Sweden to meet them but had no idea how they would be able to afford to do that. They got a map of Sweden and laid it out on their dining room table so they could see where the villages were where the family lives now and where the families who immigrated had lived. Except for family gatherings when they need the table, they have kept that map and all the information they have gathered right there on the table. Today this is what she said: "I have skimmed the feng shui book. It is one I will read several times. I believe that there is truth in all these philosophies...whether it be religion or fend shui etc. I now respect Feng Shui, and am very interested in it. Last year we put a big map of Sweden and Finland on our dining room table, along with many travel books, etc. Do you know that our dining room happens to be in our travel and helpful people area of our home? Do you realize that we just had a very helpful visit from the Lindgrens, from Sweden who have offered to let us stay in their home when we go to Sweden in Aug.? Do you know that last night we visited with our friends from Findland, and not only did they give us all kinds of travel help for Scandinavia, but Harri offered to take Dave with him on a quick trip to Stockholm at the end of the month...seems he has an extra ticket that will expire so Dave will travel for free! It is also very possible that Dave will have a job with United Airlines just in time to get our Aug. tickets nearly free!! Now I ask you...what is going on??" I wrote back...HEY, THIS IS FENG SHUI IN ACTION! Wouldn't you agree? Wow, it left me breathless. This is enough for you to read for one email....just had to share with you since it was your book that opened their eyes!

Hi Karen, I've been interested in Feng Shui since reading your wonderful book. It's already helped me to a point where I can barely believe it. Just last week, I received a message from a friend, and subsequently spent several hours talking with her on the telephone, after not speaking with her for several years. I attribute this to some changes which I recently made to my helpful people and relationship areas. Several months ago, I added a jade plant to my Prosperity
area and purchased some note pads whose pages look like money (one side has a large bill illustrated on it, the other side is blank). I wrote, in green and purple ink on these papers, "I have money to purchase a new computer." (Mine was completely obsolete to the point of being nearly useless.) As an added boost, I found a picture of the computer that I wanted, folded it up together with my bill-notes and tucked them under the jade plant's pot. Recently, the company that I work for had to cut back, and as a result, they're looking to get rid of some of extra computers by giving them to us, the remaining employees, as an incentive. Additionally, when Christmas rolled around, I learned, much to my unbounded joy, that my parents had invested in a VERY exorbitant gift for me! A brand new computer! And to make matters even more amazing, it was the very same one that appeared in the picture that I tucked under the jade plant! So after activating my wealth area, I went from being completely unable to afford a new computer to having people literally GIVING them to me! I hope that picture of Antonio Banderas in my relationship corner kicks in soon!

Dear Karen, Here's my story: It's funny how when I put a purple piece of construction paper in the prosperity corner, I started finding money all over the place...the dentist returned a check saying we overpaid, I found cash in my house, my car, my clothes, and I got the Federal tax rebate! No lie, I "found" nearly $1000.00 in a matter of a couple of weeks! I activated the marriage sector with has the laundry room in it...can you believe it? Well, the wedding picture is in there, a tray with "family, home, friends, love", and a pink crystal that I bought from the author's website. I also cleaned every inch of the laundry room. For the first time ever since we had kids, Bill arranged the babysitter, the restaurant, the wine, and purchased an anniversary present with out ONE BLESSED WORD from me! It was lovely.

Dear Karen: I thought maybe you would enjoy a success story from my neck of the woods. I have been studying feng shui since last summer, due in large part to your book, which is the first one I got hold of. I started for a kick, and then got hooked. I was amazed at how well feng shui works, but the following really amazed me. My husband's company moved to different offices about Jan. 20. He came to me that weekend and asked for my help with the feng shui. The suite of offices is old doctor's office, and there is a sink in his wealth and prosperity corner of his office! Aaahh! So, we "feng shuied the heck out of it" along with the entire space. We tried to work with intent on every gua for the room. Well, last week, Feb. 6, he got a raise. And I mean a raise. $4K more a year. That was, what, two or three weeks later? I asked him a couple of days later if he realized how well the feng shui worked. Here's another story to add to your collection - prosperity in a roundabout way: my brother was very, very down and out financially. I kept telling him about your book, kept urging him to get his library to get it for him, told him to at least put something purple in his prosperity area. His spirits were as low as his bank account, but to get me off his case he found something purple - a piece of a label off something, I think - and put it in his prosperity area. Within a week or two, his fortunes started to shift for the better. He was floored, and tossed another purple item in that area - and things got better, financially, again. Now comes the roundabout part: he had owed me money for years; I didn't mention it, just figured he would never repay it as he hadn't even when he could have. So guess what? He has now paid me, without one word from me, 1/2 of the amount he owes me so far. I don't know if he'll get the whole thing paid back, but half is more than I had!

Hi, After reading the success stories from the recent newsletter, I wanted to pass along mine. My prosperity corner is where my staircase is, so I put purple bows on both railing, and hung a crystal in the corner. This has been in place for a while. Also, I made a list of things I wanted in 'the perfect job' - including the location, the industry, the type of work. Every so often, I would read this wish list. About 3 months ago, I saw a posting on the internet for a job that looked interesting. Without giving it much thought, sent my resume. Aced the interviews, and got the offer! It was the job listed on my wish list. I plan to give this book to two friends who are out of work.

Karen- I have given copies of your book to several people already... My Prosperity area is in my kitchen (which is a rustic light blue & pink). So- purple doesn't quite fit the current decor (tho I may change it now!) Anyway...I bought some lavendar/orchid shelf liner and placed it in a couple drawers and bought some bright purple construction-type paper and put a piece under my microwave. A few days later I received a TOTALLY unexpected check for $150- a refund from my last apartment complex, even tho I moved prior to the end of my lease. (They had told me previously that I was not entitled to a refund, so they did not even have my new address.) The very next day my new manager approached me to discuss my salary-I was recommended for a raise immediately. Go figure... Just thought I'd share a success story-

Ok, so I was a little skeptical but I bought your book anyway. In the first chapter, lo and behold I found out I had a toilet in my prosperity corner. Well I was mortified. So I set to work. I added a mirror, 2 purple towels, and encircled every drain with a red ribbon. I have my daughter's wedding to pay for so I really need to hang on to as much "prosperity" as I can. That was on Sunday. Monday evening, I came home from work, opened my mail, to find I received a check for several thousand dollars. It was from my mortgage company (no less) returning overpaid escrow money to me. I had no clue that this was coming. It was totally unexpected. So now I have diligently secured all my drains, and I am viewing hazardous areas of my home in a whole new light. Next I get to work on my office! Thanks, Diane

Thanks Karen! I've been reading your book and started working step by step with the stuff in the office. I started with the purple stuff - not my favorite color. There's a purple cat-shaped cell phone holder which I quite got on impulse years back. I placed it on the prosperity gua of my desk with the intention that "good money finds me". At first I thought it funny that coins pop up wherever I walk, waiting for me to pick them up (which I did). But a week later, I won a supermarket gift check! The phone and directory now sit on the helpful people gua, and in a drawer (relationship spot) I tucked a photo of my colleagues in a pink card. Work is now getting filled with harmony and good news! I haven't gotten halfway through your book yet, and good things ARE already happening! Next step is to work on the stuff at home... Many thanks again, Karen!!!

We were living in a rent house that was a little too small for us but we managed to do fine. While living there I purchased your book and began to put some of the cures to work. My daughter's room was in our prosperity section ....needless to say she saw a tremendous increase in her tips at work ,she and her sister both began wearing or carrying something purple on their persons whenever they were scheduled to work and were totally amazed at the $$$$$ they were bringing home from tips

Wow, Karen I can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I placed a silver box filled with coins in the prosperity corner of my house, which falls in our bedroom about 2 weeks ago. Then I placed a purple coloured paper on top of it. Two days after it really worked! My husband got a huge HIKE in his salary! Of course my husband still doesn't believe in feng shui. He says he got the hike because of all the efforts that he put in last year.

Dear Karen, I received your book as a Christmas gift from my sister. She couldn't have given me a better gift. This past summer I moved into a new apartment and had a Feng Shui consultation. Little did my sister know, the same Feng Shui you practice is the very same practice from my consultation. I slowing brought those recommendations into my home. My story is a long one, so I will spare you all the details. I will share one part with you though. I was involved in a new relationship when I had my consultation. She indicated to me there was something he wasn't sharing with me, was keeping a secret if you will. I listen to her, however didn't look for things. Within a few weeks our relationship took a turn for the worst. She was right, he was lying to me about recreational drug use and he admitted he was still in love with his Ex. Well that was enough for me to give him the Boot du jour. Since reading your book (I couldn't put it down) I have brought more of it into my home. I worked on my Prosperity and relationship areas first. This weekend I will go to the craft store and begin working on other areas. One of my new things for 2001 is to change the way I think. Your affirmations allowed me a jump start on my new thinking process. And although I will spend New Years eve with a lonely party of one, I am more OK with it than ever, I am in a healthy relationship, See! Thank you for a well written, funny and informative book. I started following your methodology right away. My wealth area is in my kitchen and I wanted to put something purple in there. The only thing I could find was a sponge - unused of course! and two pens. I put them on the counter and moved on to the next room. Don't laugh, okay? But two days later I went to a meeting with my boss for my annual review and found out that the company was upgrading all the jobs and I am now under the new minimum - so I get a raise this week, and then another in April! Logic tells me the plan was underway for some time. But I didn't know anything about it and wasn't expecting anything - so I am greatly impressed by the purple sponge! Thank you! I finally figured out the compromise I could go with - Follow the front door methodology but make sure my head is facing one of my lucky directions when I sleep, and my chair is facing a lucky direction when I'm watching tv or working. I thought you'd like to know about some rather astonishing successes that I've had after making what I thought were small changes, using your book. I have been out of work for almost four months, without much success in the job hunt. My nest egg was running low, and I was beginning to get worried. Two weeks ago, I read your book, and decided to add some enhancements to my career area. I found an indoor waterfall that worked perfectly: it was BLACK, in an UNDULATING SHAPE, and was of course, moving WATER. I set it in my career center and turned it on. A few HOURS later, I received a call from a recruiter about a perfect job: one doing what I love, with a great compensation package Inspired, I decided to work on my relationship corner. At the time, it was basically a junk room, filled with old things, including a single bed. Well, I was single and my love life was junky ... duh. I cleaned the room thoroughly, ditched the single bed, added a red candle and tossed in a pair of red panties for good measure. Nothing happened...or so I thought. At the time, I had three men in my life. Over the past two weeks since making the changes, two of those men have dropped off rather abruptly, leaving me to invest my energy in the third man, who has turned out to be a gem. Looking back, I realize that by clearing out the junk in my relationship corner, I cleared out the junk in my relationships. I also added a few small enhancements to my Helpful People/Travel area, mostly to help me get the job, which I did. It turns out that the job requires a move. What's even more astonishing is that the relationship with the third man had been long-distance, and the move will put me very close to him. When I get to my new home, I'm going to feng shui the whole place!

I was SOOO amused to get a call the very next day from my job counselor (I'm looking for a higher paying job to help me achieve that greater prosperity) with an opening at a lab that specializes in research on the "heart." Too much of a coincidence, I think. In addition, the same day I got two e-mails: one from a guy I've been exchanging e-mails with for about a week and a half who suddenly wants to meet me in person; the other from my ex-boyfriend who wants to see me after 2 months of non-communication. I can hardly wait to find out what happens next...I've only had the book 4 days!! Your sense of humor, by the way, is right on the mark. Thanks for writing this book.

Karen, Shortly after you came to my apt. for a consultation, I began to see results! It really has been amazing. When you talked about what I was looking to work on, I cited relationships and my job. Well, soon after the consultation I met two great guys. One of which introduced himself in an elevator in the building we both work in. The next day, he sent me flowers to say how nice it was to meet me. It was like something out of a movie! Nothing like that had ever happened to me. On the job front, the head of my group called me one day to have coffee and told me that I would be getting a bonus that would be four times what I received last year! I couldn't believe it!! After reading your book I discovered to major problems in my apartment. My love and relationship corner was where my sewing was setup and in my bedroom my bed was under my bed. Karen: Skeptic that I am, I never thought the feng shui would work at all, let alone so fast! I concentrated on two areas to start - Love and Relationships, and Prosperity. I tried not to overdo it, but I ended up buying a new purple bedspread (prosperity is in my bedroom) and got a pink thing going with my bathroom (where relationships/love reside). I have quite a few heart shaped objects so I tried to put them in the most visually appealing spots. One solid red heart, in particular, moved from my fame/reputation baqua to the bathroom wall more than a couple of times in less than twelve hours. Dear Karen: I purchased your book this past weekend. What a difference a simple change has made in my life! I practice feng shui, so making changes and accepting them are no problem. I had been experiencing problems of intimacy with my husband and I simply couldn't figure why. I had been to several doctors who told me there was nothing "medically" wrong with me. I read your section in your book about cleaning out under the bed. I couldn't believe what I found to be affecting that part of my life! I kept an emergency chain ladder (in case of a fire) so that we could escape from the 2nd floor. Oh my gosh! NO WONDER I ALWAYS FELT I WAS TRYING TO ESCAPE FROM my husband! I promptly removed it and replaced it with red items as instructed. The next following days after the change, I felt so much better and actually felt like I wasn't trying to run from my loving husband! We have been married for 6 years (poor guy,...he'd heard every excuse for my lack of intimacy) and we have 3 year old twin boys. After reading your book (Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life), I am going to create some changes, to enhance my husband's career and improve the health of our boys (they are delayed in their speech). We had a "feng shui pro" at our home in Feb. 1996 as a birthday gift from my husband. I must say, within a period of 3 months, his salary had doubled and we began to save a lot of money (I am able to be a stay at home mom, because of those changes). Thanks again for providing me with practical information and practical cures.

Traditional Cures
A friend from work that I walk with at lunchtime was interested in fung shui so we began to chat about the general concept. We were talking about placement of objects in a room. I happened to tell your story of the woman who had knives under her bed and the surgeries she had, etc. Carolyn immediately said we have two long samari swords on my husbands dresser. I never got around to hanging them on the wall. She said neither of them had been sleeping very well. That night she went home and removed the swords from the room and the two of them have been sleeping well ever since!

Traditional Cures
I don't usually send notes to people whose books I've read, or who I've ordered something from... But I just had to thank you for helping me in a major stress area - lousy neighbors! I live in an apartment complex and for the most part, the people who live around me are decent, quiet people. But in January a wild bunch moved in above me, on a six month lease. The first month was okay, they were quiet, but after that it was party time. Loud music, laughing and yelling, and trash thrown all over outside. Since I won't be able to move for another ten months, I had to find a way of putting up with their noise. Your book said to place mirrors facing the neighbors. Since mine were upstairs, I bought a bunch of little mirrors at the crafts store - square, round, octagonal. But since I'm basically lazy and a procrastinator, I just tossed them on the kitchen table (in the health area of my apt) and left them. All were facing up (still are). I had originally planned to tie picture-hanging wire around them and hang them from the ceiling, facing upward, but that turned out to be unnecessary. Within a week the neighbors had moved out! No notice, and late at night while I was sleeping. It's great! Thanks again for such a great tip!
